ABOUT US
Sheridan Living is an adult assisted living facility at the heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan. We strive to provide the utmost care and comfort to our residents. Unlike larger facilities that have a 12:1 resident-to-staff ratio, we have a maximum 6:1 resident-to-staff ratio. This means that we can provide personalized care and individual attention to residents above and beyond what they can receive at larger facilities. In fact, many of our residents and their families consider our staff members their friends. We are licensed to care for residents with any of the following conditions:
- Aged
- Physically handicapped
- Alzheimer’s
- Developmentally disabled
- Mentally ill
We have common areas where residents enjoy the company of the other residents and our staff. In turn, our staff love to keep the residents company, and they are known to chat with the residents, sing songs to residents who like to hear them, and to send updates and pictures of residents to their families if desired.
We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood near the University of Michigan, grocery stores, churches, and several parks. Our residents who are able to make the trip enjoy viewing the community garden at the County Farm Park accompanied by our staff and their families.
We are staffed around the clock, with three shifts a day. Our staff cook three delicious meals a day, help clean the home and the residents if needed, can operate medical equipment, and provide other care services. Our staff members are experienced health care workers. Our staff is passionate about bringing joy and comfort to our residents. We help our residents with their normal daily activities in a way that promotes maximum independence while keeping joy and cheer in their lives.

The facility is a nice family home in a wonderful neighborhood. My mother loves her private room and feels like she's at home. They have holiday celebrations that promote a family atmosphere. The Thurston Pond Trails and Nature Preserve are one block away. Visiting is easy. I'm there 3 or 4 times a week and have a cordial relationship with the staff. I am pleased with the 24/7 care they provide for my mother. Jenny, the daytime staff member, is always ready to provide information on my mother's behalf to Visiting Physicians, Area Agency on Aging 1B and Arbor Hospice.
If you need care for a loved one, I cannot stress how much Sheridan Living should be the top of your list to look at! They have so much to offer, they are run by some of the kindest, loving and most knowledgeable people I have ever met. They all truly love what they do, and the residents are truly happy, and well cared for. The residents have plenty of opportunity for enrichment, regardless of their health situation. Family is very much encouraged here. They quickly become new family members for your loved one and for you.
The home is warm and inviting, each visit you feel more and more like family. The caregivers and the owners are incredible. Everything they do is with the utmost care and compassion. The home is kept spotless, the residents are well cared for, happy and comfortable. The combined experience and dedication of the owners and staff are second to none.
Overall the care was good and my mother with Alzheimer's seemed satisfied . The house was always very clean and visiting was as convenient as can be expected, The staff seemed very dedicated to providing personal care from what I could tell. The financial cost per month could not be beat from our shopping around.

SERVICES
Our staff has been providing care in residential healthcare communities for years. The national average tenure for a worker in this industry is 1 year; our average is 4 years. Unlike larger facilities that have a 12:1 resident-to-staff ratio, we have a maximum 6:1 resident-to-staff ratio. This means that we can provide personalized care and individual attention to residents above and beyond what they can receive at larger facilities. In fact, many of our residents and their families consider our staff members their friends.
- We ensure health, safety, and well-being. During the Covid-19 crisis, we provide extra Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and disinfectant and cleaning supplies, and the home is consistently cleaned and disinfected.
- We provide supervision of and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and taking medications
- The staff cooks food and helps feed any residents unable to eat by themselves
- We buy groceries for the residents
- We help residents coordinate with outside health care providers and get the medical and mental health treatment they need
- Our staff can operate medical equipment and monitor chronic conditions
- We help residents keep in touch with their family members and guardians
- The staff administers or supervises medication and personal care services
- The staff is on-site 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. They work around the clock to provide care to the residents.
HOME ENVIRONMENT
We designed the home to provide the most comfort to the residents. Everyone has a private room. We can provide furniture, or the resident can elect to bring his or her own furniture. We have Comcast television with a variety of entertainment. We also customize entertainment for each resident. We cater food and drink services to individual residents. In addition to private spaces, we also have a spacious public room connected to the living room and foyer for the residents to walk around and socialize.

Our residents who are able to make the trip enjoy viewing the flowers in the County Farm Park accompanied by our staff and their families. Living alone is very expensive and can be a tremendous burden. By coming to Sheridan Living, we can lower the monthly cost of living by sharing the majority of the overall costs as a group. In the end, you pay much less with us than others and enjoy the best services. At the same time, our residents can socialize with the other residents and staff.
